Chapter Ten: Plugins & Processing/Midterm Posted on 2015-10-14 by Evangeline Greenko

Finally! The chapter I have been waiting for!! I feel like I'm finally getting into the nitty-gritty parts of ProTools. This chapter was so much fun, I really enjoyed doing the sine wave asssignment. To see how far you can take one simple sound-how much you can change, distort, expand, manipulate... It was really interesting! The possiblities are truely endless and I know that I have barely scratched the surface. I'm inteterested in seeing what the next half of this course will teach me.

I'm super proud to say that I aced my midterm! Woohoo!! I was a bit stressed, there was just so much information given to me. I want to make sure that I retain all of it! What you don't practice, you don't learn, right? I ended up rewriting all of my handwritten notes into a word document, updated any of the handwritten flashcards into the system, and quizzed, quizzed, QUIZZED! I definitely reaped the benefits of dedicated studying. I can honestly say that I have never put this much effort into any schooling I have done. It goes to show that if you're doing what you love, any "work" you put into it isn't really work at all. I'm so happy to be in this program and hope to further my learnings after I finish this course. Recording Connection, SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY! Hahaha But seriously, do you guys have a work-to-learn program or something?

Anywho! I REALLY want to dive into the next half of this course. Until next time, cheers!
