Major: Audio Engineering

I came to audio engineering in a round about way, but I am glad that I am here now.

I always loved music. When I was very young my parents told me that I used to pull a chair right up to thier old speakers from the early 80's and just sit there listening with the music turned up. I had unusual taste in music for a kid my age. My favorite music between 5 and 10 years old was classical music, John Denver and Yes.

As a teenager I played violin. I was trained classically and then swithed to fiddle music. Though I wanted to be a musician I didn't think it was something that I could ever break into so I stopped playing after highschool.

I went to school for Massage Therapy and have worked in that field for seven years. Two years ago I started taking guitar lessons. My love for music came back with a fury. I started writing my own songs, and then added voice lessons. The more I played, sang and wrote songs, the more I wanted to be around music all the time. Going to work got harder because it didn't involve music. I started thinking about what I could do with music. I played around with recording myself on my laptop, and one day I was listening to one of my favorite new artists and found myself thinking that I would love to be involved with recording music like this. Right there I decided this is where I would like my career to go.

I am excited to learn all I can, and start working in the industry. Let the music keep playing.
