I am of the utmost excited as to the use of Protools 11. Recieving my iLok was more of a right of passage to me than most else; and, after some trouble shooting at the Mac store I finally got the software installed. Upon the vast list of equiptment I need, let me add a solid state hard drive as well. Nontheless, after poking around in my first session, I'm realizing how much I already love the program and how much more applicable my skills have surmounted to over the last few years. I look forward to more direct application learning within the program (and luckily I have the AVID Protools 11 handbook in color) as it is the most useful DAW I have used. 

Similarly, I look forward to meeting my new mentor, Mike Gardner, of The Recording Studio of Albany this afternoon. As due to inablity to coordinate with our team at RCC, Adam Clairmont is no longer suit to mentor me through the program. Aside from his rather less than generous words of decline, both my advisor, Sean, and Mike as well have been the most welcoming and I humbly appreciate that.
