After a rigerous few weeks attempting to consume all the information Chapter 3 had to offer, I am happy to move along to Chapter 4. Although all the information is well taken & of the most useful, I will admit to some difficulties I have had with some of the concepts. Specifically, some of the preliminary devices used in the Analog & Digital world along with the manufacturers and machines that are important to know. Likewise, some of the detail within the subject matter may have been a bit lost upon myself, but nontheless, those details are well scribed in my notes and I look forward to some clarity a little further down the road. Similarly, some specific parts regarding Non-PCM & DSD Recroding, etc. have been of sort lost to me as well.
However, most importantly, I look forward to clarifying some discrepensies I am having regarding Bit Depth & Sample Rate. More so, the ways of adjusting those settings within Protools to begin working on some field recordings I have. At this point I feel as though I have the knowledge, & require the know-how/the practice or utilization of my knowlege. I have an upcoming session with Sean Evans & look forward to asking him some questions as well as maybe running through some settings adjustments within Protools so I can begin working.
