This week my mentor and I went over microphone placement techniques. It's always been important to me to actually see what I'm reading, and when my mentor showed me the comparison to Mid-Set, XY, and AB mic placing, it made much more sense. I could read about placement all day but without the visual and personal sound experience, I would be lost. It's truly amazing how the slightest movement in distance and location can make within a studio. 

Next week starts Pro Tools, which I'm very anxious about due to my lack of knowledge in it but also, excited as well. Six weeks in and I already know so much. Or at least, "think" I know so much. I already love what I do, and enlivened by the opportunity.
