This week I had another session but this time I was recording a different artist. I found this week to be very important because it allowed me to see the similarities and differences one artist compared to another. All artists have different styles and some people might have similarities in how they do things and some might have completely different sounds they want to achieve. Its about understanding your artist and their vision and helping them to achieve that vision. I also learned some valuable troubleshooting skills when an artist is stuck and cant quite figure out the sound they are looking for. You have to help them and be a facilitator for them so they dont lose their vibe trying to think of what they want.
