Compression is pretty much one of the most important things that we can use with protools. DIfferent type of compressions definitely make the mix stick out more. Ive always found to put a little compression on the master fader when I start a mix. Ive found that doing that brings the sound more together and the mixing process becomes a little easier from then on.
