Yeah plug-ins day! I've been fooling around with plug-ins at home but I couldn't wait to pick Rafael's brain about them. Today was all about EQ's. I LOVE them. They can change anything mundane into something shiny.

The main and most improtant thing I think I learned today was that cutting a frequency and frequencies can be more important then boosting any. I would have never thought this since the textbook manly gives you ideas of what to boost, but cutting is incredibally important. I'm learing that low and high pass filters can be my best friends in a mix.

I spent the rest of class messing around with all the filters and EQs in the platinum sweet and then incorporating them to the mixes Ive been practising session management and balance on.
