Todays my birthday, and there's no place I'de rather be than the studio.

Compressors were the focus of todays lesson and my goodess they are confusing! This was probably one of the hardest chapters to date to read on in the text book, thank goodness Rafael made things a little more clear. The thing that stuck the most in my head about how he described them was "they take whats loud and makes it soft, and what's soft and makes it loud." I liked this explanation a lot and can rap my head around this more easily then all the techy stuff in the text book.

I can make the distintion easily between no compression and over compression but it's the middle ground I'm going to have to practice a lot on.

The remainder of class I spent on adding compression to a session management session.
