Tshaka BellamyAtlanta Recording Connection

chapter 5 Posted on 2017-05-24 by Tshaka Bellamy

I was in the studio yesterday with my mentor and we went over setting up a session using a imported audio track in Pro Tools. This involved identifying the track's tempo, which is key before starting, setting up audio, aux and buses for the aux tracks as well as naming them.Identifying the tempo in the begining saves time and hassell for you and the artist you might be with especially when it comes to moving parts of the song around instead of having to record over and over again.I also met a fellow student named Zack. Here's the kicker,my mentor had something to do at the time we usually meet and said he could meet me later in the day or push it out to the next.I chose pushing it out to the next day. While doing so guess who stopped by the studio later that day..............David Banner.Lesson,go when you can,you could be missing an opportunity.
