I've always been the type to discredit social media for the simple fact that a lot of trending topics and subjects are over rated and unless its extremely negative, derogatory, "ratchet", or posing to be something that it is not…..there is no real interest of reality on social media and I am a REALIST. 

With that being said, my first lesson of social media in the Audio Engineering program showed me the importance behind social media. In order to be successful in this industry, you have to brand yourself and it'll be very difficult and unlikely to brand yourself with no social media accounts. It is also important to keep up with these accounts by posting interesting post and growing your followers!
