My 1st Session and Chapter Done!!!! Posted on 2014-08-29 by Kayla Chappell

I have to admit the first chapter I read this week was redundant because I've learned about sound and hearing in high school and college, so I'm a little ahead in the program. However, I was still able to learn some new material and overall this book is great! Very easy to understand and it's to the point. I finally had my first lesson at Music Lane with Andy Sharp and it was awesome! I got to work with Protools and learned how to make a song just using a whistle and a clap! It was a little difficult but Andy is for certain we're going to keep using Protool and recording software until I'm pro at it! I also learned how microphones worked and how a recording studio is flooding with wires, they're just hidden. Next week I get to sit in on a recording session and Chapter 2 is covering stuff I really wanted to know! I'm already loving the program and can't wait to see what else is in store!

I would love to have a client like her one day if I ever get my own studio... Read More >>
