7 Lessons in now. I have learned quite a lot at his point about the science of sound and the beginning of recording.  There have been a lot of concepts that I knew but didnt understand exactly how they worked. As a musician that has played for many years I found chapters 6 & 7 about microphones, pickup patterns and placement to be extremly important for everything going forward. I have already started applying what I learned in my own recordings and performances, I was able to mic an acoustic drum kit and listen to multiple types of dynamic and condenser mics. I wouldnt have know to mic the underside of the snare until now.  And that I have not been miking an acoustic guitar the best way to capture a fuller sound.  This is really where it all starts. Capturing the sound! I am looking forward to what's next!
