Maclain Barney — Boston Recording Connection

My name is Maclain, but most of my friends call me Mac. I was introduced to music at an early age in the 6th grade. From 6th grade up to my first year of college, I was in band, playing the Euphonium, as well as singing tenor in choir.

When I was 21, my parents divorced, and that had a profound impact on me - these past four years have been some of the hardest in my life so far, but I have also grown the most. It was also during this time that I discovered the guitar and mostly taught myself how to play. Now that I am more stable financially, emotionally, and almost in every other aspect possible, I am ready to truly become a musician.

Film music (soundtrack scores) is my absolute favorite genre, but I am also a 90's kid and enjoy bands like Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Third Eye Blind, Bush, Breaking Benjamin (Breaking Benjamin is my favorite of all), and the list goes on. I am open to all styles of music and am looking forward to working with artists of all kinds.
