Lesson 4. Elastic Audio and Elastic Pitch Posted on 2017-01-25 by Melvin Perdomo

Elastic Audio is amazing!!!

I went thru a session in Pro Tools in my mentor Steve where he was teaching me various techniques to manipulate vocals, instruments and other audio tracks. He showed me how to work in different scenarios to correct performances, mix or create special effects using the varispeed algorithm, as well as using the specific purposes of polyphonic, monophonic, and rhythmic choices.

Furthermore, I learned using pro tools to automatically conform imported loops to a tempo grid by engaging elastic audio. We went thru how to work with guitars, keyboards, bass and other instruments in elastic audio and elastic pith; also how to choose the right modes to fit different situations using warp, analysis, blocks, playlist, waveform and more. We also covered how to use quantization respectively.
