Hello and I hope You are well today. 

     On 1/20/17 I had my second session. That day I turned in my chapter one quiz assesment, which was a 93% (14/15). They seemed surprised but pleased to see that i was already getting into the ebook and knocking the work out. That day I was being taught by Cody Taft, one of the head engineers at MixMaster Pro Studios. We went over what I had learned in chapter on of the ebook and began to dive into the electronic side of music and how it all works to recreate sound. I am also being introduced to new software such as StudioOne due to the fact that it is more efficient with the set up we have at MixMaster Studios. Even though I am learning newer software, I still have to become familiar with ProTools, as it is  still the industry standard. 

     Cody and I discussed the topic of sound design, as that is something I am very much interested in and look to know more about. Soon after, the session ended and I got to spent time watching Rob Sanchez, another engineer, work his talents on mixing a vocalist at the studio. I got to meet amazing people such as the vocalist- Lucy, as well as a couple of productin students. I actually got to start working on a song with one of the students and can't wait to finish it. This will defiintely help me learn more about engineering and understanding the interworkings of a complete song! All I can say now is that I am determined and excited to continue this journey.
