How do I remember which connector is which?

Here is a look at some of the tricks I use to help remember which is which:

For the TRS, I just remember the accronym which is Tip, Ring and Sleeve. When you look at the connector you can actually see this as shown in the photo to the left. |

For the XLR I just imagine playing connect the dots when I see the three prongs in the connector I quickly think of the shape of an X - which then helps remind me of the name. |

For the RCA, my trick is knowing that there is often the color red involved in these connectors, and since the accronym starts with an R - I can easily remember that based on the red. |
