At first this chapter seemed intimidating. There were a tone of pieces of equipment mentioned for various uses. I did resonate with some components of the chapter a lot though because of my work as an Audio Visual Technician. We used a lot of DI Boxes and XLR cables to run the sound system we had in the building. My mentor Daniel at Maximus Music Records was telling me about the detail of equipment. He always says "the better you know you're equipment, the better your stuff will sound" and how everything matters even down to the cables! I never considered that when engineering music I always just thought about things in the DAW and not the physical equipment that connects to the programs. It was really insightful and now I know great audio engineers and creatives pay very close attention to their equipment.
