Chapter 8 was about the history and use for Pro Tools which I never considered.  My experience with DAWS has only been through FL Studio up until this point.  That and mixcraft.  I started using these in an attempt to make beats.  I got pretty good but even if I had the sounds how I wanted them I could always hear a difference in what I made and what was on the radio.  Thats when I learned Pro Tools was the industry standard but I still never tried to learn it for whatever reason.  But the recording connection helped with the lay out on how to set it up on and optimize it for your computer.  You don't want your computer over-heating haha! But nah in a seriousness I am excited to start diving in with this program so that I can get my content to sound close to what plays on the radio in terms of quality.
