Today I saw revisions being done to one of the movies the studio was working on. In the revisions, I saw how communication is very important between the engineer and the director. At the end of the day the engineer wants to do their best job and although they might have an idea how to sound design a certain part of a movie, the director might not want that at all. Which in that case a compromise will have to made to make the director happy since it is their movie.
