Today I was able to get help and understand certain plugins they would use on most of their mixes. Some of them included surfer EQ, pro-L limiter, and supercharger. The supercharger is a compressor that can add saturation which brings some grittiness to whats being compressed. The Surfer EQ is an EQ that can be side chained, the actual frequencies would move while the track goes on so that it EQ's out only what it is being told at certain times.
