Today I got to set up and sit in on a session lead by Andy Shoemaker and another Rax Trax engineer "Noam". Another intern (James) and I set up the speakers, amp, and mics. We used a Tube works 2X12 that was fed by a long speaker cable from the control room. We set up stereo mics using 1 Fathead Ribbon and 1 Sm 57. The mics were fed into the wall in the appropriate input which was then fed into the control, to the patch bay, and into ProTools. There were three absorbers about 4' 1/2" L X 5' W X 4'' thick that surronded the speaker. We used a Gibson Les Paul studio to lay down an Intro, Verse, Chorus, and Solo.
