Compression is the glue that brings everything together. Without compression, songs would still sound okay but they would'nt have that tight clean sound that we are all used to. I never realized how important compression and limiting was until I used both in a song I created a while back. It opened up a place in the mix for every track to stand out but at the same time it blended them all together as well. Over all, I think this was a great chapter and I learned alot more about the wonderful world of compression and limiting.
