I learned about the history of compressors, what the do and the different kinds of compressors in chapter 14. I also learned about limiters and expanders.Compressors make the volume of any given track or group of tracks more consistant by for lack of a better term compressing the peaks of a track so the dynamics shine more. Limiters are like extereme compressors and expanders are the opposite of compressors.
