In "Basic Audio Engineering - Chapter #6" I learned about mic placement and how different placements can help achieve different sounds for whatever it is you are trying to capture. We put this to use in a real situation during the recording of an album in the studio. The artist my mentor and I were working with recording live crowd chants and crowd vocals. The placement we used captured the room very well and made the tracks sound huge!
