Well I haven't wrote a blog in a long time so i will use this one as a catch up as to where I am in my schooling. Right now I'm on Chapter 14 I think my last blog was from Chapter 7. Since then I have learned a whole lot. I've had to manipulate a 1hz sine wave into kick, snare, synth....ect..to for a (beat) for atleast 30 - 60 sec. I put hours of work into it, it was a pretty challenging assignment. I finished it but i would say it was amateur at best. I am now working on another assignment. I am slowing learning the basics to mixing tracks. I've picked a electronic song to mix out of the 5 other songs. I have so far learned about and applied to me song, EQ, and compressors. I also organized my track with color code, renaming all the tracks, and putting markers and separating the different sections of the song. A few weeks ago I had the honor of setting up the mics for the drummer Chuck Pulmer (who has drummed on tracks with RJD2, Phillip Phillips, Amy Lee, Living Colour just to name a few). He was such a genuinely nice guy and such a talented player i hope to see him again and have to chance to record with him again. Well thats about it for now ill catch you guys up the further along I go.
