This past week, I met with Rick to go over the diiferent types of reverb and how they're used. We spent three hours on my assigned songs. He showed me how those effects can really make a song stand out to the listener. He also had me research the history of plate reverb. We have discovered so many new types of reverb, yet some engineers still use the older styles to get a certain sound. Rick told me that I'll be covering MIDI in our next session. I look forward to working with John at the studio. He seems to be the local MIDI guru.
