Caleb Lathrop — Dallas Recording Connection

I'm 21 years old.  I've been playing instruments my whole life.  Music is what moves me, so I'm here to learn.  

I have a background constisting of architectural work, civil engineering and bartending.  When it comes down to it, producing music, mixing music, recording music, playing music, whatever it is, if it invovles organized sound and silence, I get lost in it.  The engineering expierience helps, but bartending was what inspired me to take this step.  

Bartending, I hosted groups of people, who would come together for the same purpose, to connect.  To bring their personality to the table and produce creative conversation.  I was the icebreaker.  I maintained the comfortable enviornment.  I made them all feel welcome.  I mixed different hand picked elements to reflect everyone's needs and desires.  I set them up for success; but for some, I was just the extra ear they needed.  I think the studio audio engineer is the host of the music world, and that's who I want to be.

If I have a job in the music industry, I'll put my everything into it and it'll never feel like work.  I'll just be living my passion.
