David Green III — Dallas Recording Connection
My name is David Green III. I plan to take the music industry by storm one day soon. I have been singing for more than ten years, starting like so many other performers in church. At the age of 14, I began entering competitions in Fine Arts focusing mainly on the male vocal category. Some of my friends and family refer to me as "having an old soul". This likely is because of my love music beginning in the 60's through the 90's.
With some artists such as Al Green, Teddy Pendergrass, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, Bill Withers, David Ruffin, and many more you can get an idea of the type of music that has inspired me over the years. The purity of the vocals of gospel artists like Marvin Sapp, Marvin Winans, Donnie McClurkin, John P. Kee, and James Cleveland motivated me to practice and work on my pitch, tone, and clarity when singing in public.
In addition to performing vocally, I currently play the keyboard and drums and have recently purchased a bass guitar to begin lessons. I enjoy combining various chord combinations and instruments to develop new music beats for possible songs in the future. With the opportunity to work with a mentor through RRF, my future is looking bright.
