This was my second week working with Ryan Conway at Conway Sound in Denver. We spent about half of our 2 hours reviewing the lesson, and the other half going over some sound design in Massive that we had worked on the week before. I was struggling with turning a sine wave into an 808 kick, and getting the "pluck" sound on my lead synth. We reviewed the 808 kick, and I understood it after. Then he showed me how automating the release and decay of the synth in Nexus could give me the "big lead" I was looking for in my chord progressions. This definitely helped me when I went home and worked on my track and used the tips he taught me to get a good chord progression and lead synth sound going. I'm looking forward to what week 3 has in store for me, and couldn't be more excited for week 6 when I actually get to start working with Pro Tools.
