After going ove the quiz we headed right into the studio. Steve and I went over all the mics already set up in the booths. Quizing me on whick mic was what and how they differ from each other. we then went into one of the other booths and checked out the set up of mics they had on the drum kit. Steve proceeded to tell me that setting up mics for a drum kit may be one of the more difficult things I will come by as an engineer. 

We went back to his office and talked a little more about directional patters of mics. That part is pretty understandable. Mics and their placement is a lesson that you can never go back to enough. It is always a learning experiance. I did a lot of highlighting in this section of my book.
