In this chapter I learned different mic placing tecniques that can be used for many different applications. Seeing how different polar patterns connect with mic positioning showed me the boundaries of some microphones as well as that there are really no rules as long as it sounds good. In the studion I was able to Mic my mentor playing an acoustic guitar in the xy and blumelien tecniques. Hearing the difference made me think of how I could use them in future situations with different instruments.
