This is already week 2 that we are recording The head and the heart in sonic ranch in Tonillo,TX. So far it has been great recording this band and the process that has gone to record them . It was really interesting how we were having trouble recording acoustic guitar because that drums were to loud and that tracking room is just one big open room with no isolation and on top of that. We had to come up with a way to isolate the drums and avoid them from getting into the acoustic guitar mics. We made a quick baffle to avoid as much bleed as possible but still keeping the eye contact with all the band members. We are also using this reverve charmber that is actually a empty house that is next to the studio we are in. We ran lines underground to the house next door and connected mics to the studio and were able to record is amazing natural reverb. This is the last week that we will be recording this band and I am really looking foward to see what is next to do in regards of session is the studio.
