What is uppppp, so this lesson was all on microphones. I got to learn about different types of microphones & there own uniuqe differences. I was already somewhat familiar with mics but learning more can never hurt. So in the studio with david, he showed me the different kinds of mics that he has, he showed me his dynamic & cardoid mics. He had the ElectroVoice RE20 dynamic which he uses for the kick drum, he showed me his cardoid neuman U87 that he uses for vocals in the recording room. He also had the AKG c414. I persoanaly have a audio technica 2035 that is awesome. This lesson helped me learn the differencs of each specific type of microphone. I know now that now a days carbons are rarely ever used & its mainly only cardiod, Dynamic & ribbon in the studios. Its cool to know how microphones work as well, I had no idea how they did but now I do.
