in this chapter we learned about the different types of plugins. pro tools 12 which is the one i downloaded only accepts AAX (avid audio extension) plugins. this didnt dissappoint me as much as it probabably did to others because i dont have many third party plugins of my own yet. we also got a sine wave assignment which was kind of challenging because we were ordered to make a 30 second beat using only a single sine wave and using the pro tools audiosuite plugins to warp and change the sound of it and build a kick drum, snare drum and some sort of synth sound to play over the beat.
