EQs Posted on 2016-02-29 by Raymond Flores

in this chapter we took a look at the differnt pro tools EQs. the air kill EQ is really cool and could be very useful in the future. it basically kills any frequencies you dont want to hear in a sound. this can be used for sampling. for example if you want to sample a specific phrase in a song for your own song but you still hear elements from the original piece (like drums) you can use the air kill EQ to remove the drums from the sample and only be left with the phrase you want to hear. pro tools also has an EQ 1-band and an EQ-7 band. they are both just ordinary EQs but the 7-band has more parameters for you to mess with.
