Meng King — Houston Recording Connection

Hi. I'm Meng King, an aspiring singer-songwriter and producer. I've always loved music ever since I could remember. At a young age, I started to sing which led me to realize that I was actually pretty good at it, so from then I continued to participate in anything that allowed me to sing. It was difficult not being able to do everything I wanted, but I was okay being able to express myself through writing songs in my freetime. As I got older, new genres of music that I hadn't listened to before caught my attention and I grew to appreciate several genres. At first I orginally just wanted to be a singer, but then I learned a little more about music production and thought it was an amazing job to have because it would allow me to become more creative by coming up with the music that would fit the songs that I write. When I was about ten years old, I came across Korean music as I was flipping through channels. Although the music was like that of American music, it seemed to draw me in more than others. Right now, I am focused on studying with my mentor with Recording Connection. I plan to do beyond my best to finish the lessons provided to me and hopefully continue on with my mentor even after I'm done.
