Muddy is a bad play back from speaker or a bad recording

De-essner helps "S" brighter

Reverb and delay are time base effect

Time base effect use a lot of computer processing so put them on Aux track

Delay  and reverb are stero track

Set busses to stero tracks and have aux tracks the same bus to that track
