Layton Dorman — Kansas City Recording Connection

Born and raised in the heart of Kansas City, MO, the love of great music and music production was introduced at a young age for me. I try and get the whole experience in all that I do, and when it comes to music, that can some times be a little difficult. I am pretty fluent with the guitar and would consider that my main intrument of choice, although I like to dabble here and there with the drums, bass, piano, violin, etc. It wasn't until after I was lucky enough to be in a band with my bestfriends that I decided I wanted to pursue recording. My world had changed the first time I stepped foot inside a studio. I could tell very quickly that I wanted to work in that environment for the rest of my life. It seemed like such a challenging and self-satisfying occupation, I was hooked. Ever since then I have been working hard to increase my knowledge of the studio, live sound, and the live performance of music. I look forward to being able to give fellow artists the quality material they want to hear, and help push the music scene to a greater more connected family/community.
