This has probably been the most open-ended lesson so far. I've been using EQ on amps since I started playing guitar, but as for perfecting the balance of a mix using an EQ plug-in, or multiple, seems to be a real challenge at times. It's pretty easy to overcompensate and distort the sound, and just as easy to undercompensate and leave a sound feeling hollow and unpronounced. I'll need some studio grade headphones or monitors before I can really hear the effects of the slight tweaks necessary.
