week 10-SineWave Assignment / (Chapter 10: Plugins & Processing Posted on 2017-01-02 by J-Himmy Productions

Last week I lost my Ilok so for chapter 10 my mentor let me make my own session on his drive for my SineWave Assignment. I was having a lot of trouble at first navigating myself around the sofware, but after using it for a couple days I started to get used to it very fast. when it came to making my own sound/ beat I knew exacly what kinda sound I was looking for but it was hard to get that out of the plugins. when you start to realize what plugins to use to get certain sounds it makes it a lot easier and a lot faster to make beats. After messing around with different frequencies you start to get a feel of the sound your looking for. Since I didnt have my ilok my mentor let me come in before the midterm and finish it witch was very nice of him.

Week 12 in the studio!! / (Chapter 12: Mix Theory)Posted by J-Himmy Productions on 2017-01-02

Chapter 12 is very interesting because there is so much to learn about mixing and mastering. For the mixing project I chose the elecronica beat and I actually went to mix it more than once because after the first time I was not satisfied with the way it sounded so the next day i went to try and make it better by playing around with all the different sounds and trying to really figure out where the right placements for eveything...
