This session was an extra session between 2 and 3.  Bob Boyd and Ed Smith came to the studio to record.  Ed used his vintage guitar and fender (spectroverb?) vintage amp to comp rhythm and solo over some jazz tracks that were already recorded.  Bob played keys through midi to add some strings to a song or two.  I believe Ed's amp was miked with a Sennheiser amplifier mike that's good for recording as well as live sound.
