On Wednesday August 7th, we had James Blunt come in for an acoustic performance in our in house studio at CBS radio. Our engineer has to set up sound for not only a performance, but also to be recorded for radio play back on our Sunday Morning show "The Mix Underground Lounge." Got to watch the set up of the sound board and the recording process. I now have a different perspective on these acoustic performances since there is only 1 take. We have to make sure the audio recording is 100% before we roll or we won't have a good show. We can record on a multi tracker and work with a little bit, btu we only have one take to work with so it has to be right. Quite challenging, but easy with a pro like James.
