Wednesday Sept 4th at the Palms Studio was one of the most fun classes so far. With the help of local musician Jered Jones from Offset Season. I went in to the studio, learned to set up mics and record tracks for an acoustic guitar. We started with Mono and progressed to multiplke and stereo. My favorite sound was with a combination of a Small Condensor, Large condensor and a Ribbon Mic. I set it up after Mark showed me the first time and get this....it recorded "in phase." I kind of impressed myself. Also set up the X-Y method and was just as successful. Learned alot of the important ins and outs of the set up to ensure a successful session. 

On an unrelated note, I just found out that Celine Dion is releasing an album in early November and found out that she recorded some of the vocals at the Palms Studio. Heard lots of great stories.
