On Thursday Spet 12, I flew to Los Angeles to a secret location to join a few industry people for a preview of the new Katy Perry album hosted by the artist. She walked us through the stroy behind each song and introduced a few of the writers and producers who worked with her on the album. It was a very cool experience becasue we all got to spend a few minutes with her after the preview. What to expect from the album? Well, shocker....more pop records, but there is definatey some Pink influence in a few of them, some old school style Prince and in my opionion at least two of the singles I liked had a Lana Del Rey influence. So far the first single "Roar" has flown up the POP and Hot AC charts, so she's headed in the right direction.
