This week in the studio we set up microphones for drums and vocals. Placement seemed to be very important for my mentor as he was making adjustments in placement depending on what kind of sound he was trying to capture in the booth. Very interesting all types of microphones have a specific purpose in sound quality. capturing these sounds in Pro Tools seems very nice as you can see the sound waves in the DAW were this opens all kinds of creative advantages.

Also the studio i am learning at has a new owner so i have been able to see the transition of old consoles to the new style. Technology is very amazing!
