Connectivity. This week I got to take apart and check out the inner workings and outer ports of a 192 ADDA converter, making note of the different cable/routing options. I then got to work testing over 100 cables in the warehouse which was a great hands-on exercise to get familiar with many of the cables mentioned in the cirriculum literature. Using an analog cable tester reenforced the structure of unbalanced cables. There are three lights on this particular tester- Hot, Cold, and Ground. The Cold and Ground lights both illuminate when an unbalanced cable is functioning properly, as opposed to independently lighting up for a balanced cable.
