I really enjoyed this chapter when I was reviewing it with my mentor. Chapter 14 has a strong overview of compression, and how it effects a track. Compression allows the neuances of a track to be highlighted and for that track to be controled more solidly on a dynamic level. I also enjoyed learning about different kinds of compression such as serial and parrallel compression. Serial compression is the output of one compressor being fed into the input of another compressor and parrallel compression splits the signal, turning half into a compressed version that meets back with an unaltered half.
