Completing this chapter allowed me to learn another mixing strategy/tool. With the use of automation, I'm now able to time the amplitude, panning, and even plugins in a recording to attain a more creative and pleasing recording. during my lesson with my mentor, Donny Baker, he did a great job of explaining the principals as wel as the use of automation. I completed my studio intern day with Jr., another great engineer at ES Audio Recording Studios. Jr. did an amazing job with demonstrating how automation is done; including examples that provided me with real-life experience utilizing automation. I understand how automation can benefit my audio work and believe it's a great tool for engineers/producers.
