RRFC Advanced Audio Engineering Week 16 Mentor: Larry Goetz Studio: The Lair - Posted on 2016-08-01 by Justin Smith

     Week 16 was not as busy as it usually was but Larry let me use the studio to mix a couple of my songs. He has DynAudio monitors that I can hear my sub and low end better with. Larry also showed me a couple of his new songs that he is producing on and we went over chord progressions and some more low end mixing tips. I really have been working hard on my music and really trying to master producing hip hop. I've been working for years trying to perfect my sound and I feel Larry has helped me get much closer to that goal. I hope to be mixing Hip Hop for other artist and myself and also Producing artist on their own projects and my own. I Like engineering but I love creating, mixing, and producing. I also like editing in Pro Tools and mixing other genres of music. I can see myself mixing rock, pop, indie...etc. I now am proficient in using beat detective and auto tune and now use them in my own music. This week I also made a new song with my friend Victor and it came out really good. We hope to make a few more and shop them around.
